We had period games to choose from, a lot of good food, best company and a lot of laughs. I was really impressed with all the food. Some of it was even made with 18th century recipes. And I loved the games. Especially the bowling. And I'd love to be able to do tricks with the diabolo. But now that I don't, it was delightful watching those who can. And even if the weather didn't co-operate with kite flying, it was a beautiful sight to see the two woolen gowns floating from the running.
And because it was over all too soon, some of us changed to our normal clothes and had a late dinner. A great way to prolong the fun.
